Job Summary

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with a multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions for our clients.

  • Lead sustainability workshops both internally and externally

  • Direct and coordinate requirements for documentation in LEED Online for projects requiring a USGBC rating.

  • Perform specialized calculations individual to project needs, including but not limited to daylight studies, energy modeling, and vapor barrier analysis.

  • Bring a broad understanding of both sustainability principles and LEED credits to project discussions

  • Technical writing, such as design narratives, briefings, analytical reports, and specifications

  • The successful candidate will possess:

  • A solid foundation of understanding or analysis of the USGBC LEED process, including working with project teams during design phase, submitting projects to LEED Online, and coordination with contractors for construction phase credits.

  • A record of successful LEED projects with ratings ranging from Certified to Platinum

  • An understanding of the interpretation by USGBC for various credits so the design team can submit the appropriate documentation

  • Creativity, collaborative approach, and a background to have successfully led the sustainability design and/or efforts on projects, especially for the federal government.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

  • Under limited supervision, responsibility for the creation of work plans and task definitions.

  • Licensed Architect or Mechanical Engineer is preferred, but a background in either field is required

  • Experience in Revit is required, experience in MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and energy simulation software preferred.

  • LEED Accredited Professional with Specialty (BD+C, ID+C, O+M, etc) is required

  • US Citizenship is required
