The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) is a global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to clinical laboratory science and its application to healthcare. AACC is currently looking for a Business Communications Specialist, who can dive into deadline-driven digital production with the same enthusiasm as writing compelling copy that advances our strategic corporate relations and advertising goals.

This position is responsible for the high-quality production of AACC's digital and print news publications portfolio and supports AACC's Communications and Corporate Relations teams in achieving revenue goals while protecting and enhancing AACC's brand.

The position has both digital and print production, advertising management, and business partner client support responsibilities for Clinical Laboratory News, CLN Stat, CLN Daily, , and all other digital offerings, excluding Clinical Chemistry Journal and The Journal of Laboratory Medicine.

This position also is responsible for managing communications in support of corporate relations/fundraising to include development of, writing and distribution of all corporate communications and promotional materials, creation of corporate content marketing e-newsletter, Corporate Advisory Board communications, corporate relations database management, sales partner communications calendar management.

Key areas of responsibilities: Work closely with external ad sales firms towards achieving or exceeding annual advertising revenue goals.
Manage digital strategies for fundraising campaigns and projects to ensure that they advance AACC News Publications and Corporate Relations overarching business and strategic goals.
Assist with project management, preparation, and production throughout the calendar year to ensure reader and advertiser needs are met.
Plan advertising and promotional material to increase advertising sales for AACC's print and digital publications, including AACC media kit.
Track and manage digital ad traffic and provide management reporting and forecasting.
Plan and execute creation of publishing statement, including circulation information; manage postal requirements of publications in accordance with standard mailing practices and direct mail lists.
Monitor AACC website and work with advertising sales firm to resolve any display issues and to install new features.
Schedule, build, and test all news publications and corporate relations-focused emails and other digital products.
Record stats for all email sends and analyze data to make recommendations on improving performance.
Support email production for sponsor emails and events for news publications and corporate relations
Collaborate with SmartBrief and AACC marketing team to plan and execute AACC SmartBrief enewsletter trial and house ad campaigns and coordinate review of specialty advertising opportunities.
Develop corporate relations communications and promotional materials, including but not limited to materials for corporate visits, market research, company background research/materials, corporate presentations and leave-behind materials.
Develop all corporate sales communication plan, including but not limited to: funding request letters, marketing emails, website content, sales brochures, and thank you letters.
Assist Director, Corporate Relations with sponsor letters of agreement, invoices, and sponsorship payment follow-up, as necessary.
Develop and Implement Corporate Content Marketing Strategy e-newsletter.
Partner with Education team to develop and distribute corporate return on investment post-event/post-sponsorship reports.
Attend Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and develop CAB communications materials including agenda books and meeting minutes.
Track and manage contact records in corporate database.
Manage communications calendar for all corporate sales partners.
