We are seeking a Sr. SharePointSQL Admin to join our team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities will include General Management of STCS platform, including PreProduction Immediate need upgrade all SharePoint servers using PSConfig Upgrade all Content Databases using upgrade-SPContentDatabase Rebuild Distributed Cache cluster (currently it is stopped) Administration of Weekly Full Database backups, and semi-weekly Incremental Backups Monthly testing of high-risk database Restores Currently, this includes the following databases WSSContentSTCS WSSContentDNDO WSSContentAPPS WSSContentAPPS3 WSSContentBOD Patching, monthly Preproduction patched on first weekend of the month following Microsoft release Tuesday Production patched 2 weeks later, after following Patching SOP and ensuring no bugs have been introduced Weekly reports of database sizing, including proactive reporting to the Admin Group immediate issues, and projections of database growth, with focus on high-risk databases (see current list above) Future Efforts Expectations Enabling Kerberos across farm Configuring platform to allow access to Apple users (requires Kerberos) Opening firewall ports to all other components (requires meetings and touchpoints with other component POCs) and connecting User Profile Service import Enhanced use of DocAve system Switching major storage from BLOB storage to on-disk file storage for major files Establishing additional Secure Store Target applications for use with Business Connectivity Services, so developers can directly access SQL for applications with large record storage needs Assistance with updates to master pages upgrading embedded files PowerShell scripts for the following Establishing ldquoSTCS Adminrdquo group in all site collections (complete, working) Populating STCS Admin group with all current STCS team members (working but needs bugfixes) Removing former ST users from Site collection admin group (working) Removing former ST users from all SharePoint access Groups Documentation for configuration management purposes of environment, all configurations, settings, etc Qualifications Masterrsquos degree or higher andor 15 years of experience Previous SharePoint (preferably 2013 or higher) Farm Admin experience Previous SQL Admin experience Prior experience running and sustaining an environment as a lead or alone including patching the environment, troubleshooting issues, running health checks and reports, responding to alerts generated prior to issues being reported by users Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
