  • The LawClerk II shallprovide legal research and litigation support to the Security ExchangeCommission (SEC).
  • Duties andResponsibilities:
  • Performscomplex legal research for the trial staff.
  • Assistsin the preparation or prepares draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs,memoranda of law, etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; andassisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
  • Mayrequire sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legalresearch procedures, and legal research resources.
  • Otherduties as assigned
  • MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and passed the bar exam in one of the 50 U.S. States or the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevanttechnical experience.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
  • Ability to provide favorable credit history.
  • Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:
  • Must be able to work effectively inan extremely pressured environment.
  • Must have and use excellent oraland written communications skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft2010 or newer programs.
  • Knowledgeof e-discovery procedures and resources.
  • Specialknowledge and skill in litigation support, document analysis and/or accounting,preferred.
  • Experiencein litigation support during trial, including courtroom
  • Experience in interviewingwitnesses

  • While performing the duties of thisJob, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.   • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
