JOB TITLE: Energy Analyst Externship:

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a flexible and adaptive individual to assist and support our overall operations
and business management teams for our Efficiency as-a-Service projects in the Washington,
DC area. You ll be responsible for executing ongoing administrative tasks and assisting in
generating business opportunities with existing accounts and new customers as part of the
project life cycle. Above all, this position requires an all hands on deck mentality to help the
team, as needed, to successfully evaluate, audit, install, and continuously service projects. You
will gain unique professional experience and have the opportunity to work directly with company
owners, and make a significant impact on the success and trajectory of the company as it
continues to grow.

Responsibilities include:

Assist the finance team in developing financial models and structured financial options for Efficiency as-a-Service solution offerings.

Support technical leads in performing and preparing energy and lighting audit evaluations

Use energy and lighting audit data and efficiency technology solutions to support development of winning proposals

Assist in identifying potential clients interested in saving energy while doing their part for the betterment of the environment

Assist in the sales cycle; from lead prospecting all the way through contract signature and, as needed, provide assistance to the project team

Support technical leads in executing utility rebate and other federal/state/local incentive program application processes for projects

Assist in managing existing and develop new sales channel partnerships

Perform other administrative tasks as assigned (e.g. product warranties, maintenance requests, procure materials, shipping/inventory tracking, bank deposits for receivables, office management and logistics, etc.)

Suggest and implement process improvements and ideas to execute projects more quickly, and at a better value

About You:

Willing to learn, take ownership, and continuously improve: Well organized with high attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Willing to learn or improve project and risk management principles: Willing to learn or improve research and analytical skills

Willing to learn or improve knowledge of energy efficiency technology, LED lighting technology, energy saving programs, and/or energy project finance

Internships or some work experience in clean energy, energy efficiency, LED lighting or a related field

Working knowledge of Google Apps, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Good email/phone/in-person communicator
