PRIMARY PURPOSE OFPOSITION
Lead IT activities for OperationalTechnologies Security Control Project.Engage, along with IT director, with Exelon Business Units in theequipment refreshment and implementing the security controls. Partner withbusiness clients and IT leadership in the development of the strategic plan andinvestment strategy that meets the needs of the business while leveragingstandard enterprise practices. Participate on committees that guide productstrategies and security controls program. Lead a team of information technologyprofessionals responsible for providing a single point of contact with thebusiness, understanding business processes, technology needs and requirementsand translating business requirements into appropriate technology solutions.Lead the program and project delivery of medium to large sized projects to supportthe overall business program, maintaining top quartile on-time on- budgetdelivery. Participate in the overall leadership of Information Technologyorganization.
Create and maintain strategic relationship with key ITvendors and manage IT vendor contracts that support this specific businesssegment.
PRIMARY DUTIES ANDACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead IT activities for Operational Technologies SecurityControl Project – includes leading and managing IT staff and resources inaccordance with IT Business to deliver projects of medium to high complexity. Partnerwith the business on strategic and program dimensions. Plan and manage scope,schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT projectmanagement standards. Develop project requirements, budgets and schedules,facilitate requirements gathering.Establish milestones, anticipate issues and monitor adherence to projectscope, requirements and design document, schedules. Ensure that the programobjectives are completed on time and within budget and that all deliverablesare of the highest quality.
Establish & Maintain relationships with business clientsand IT partners. Ensure business processes and requirements are identified andwell understood.Participate on teams, committeesand forums that drive investment and strategy for the supported program.Communicate to key stakeholders on a regularbasis, escalate risks as appropriate.
Drive process improvement and lead adoption of standardManagement Model processes and procedures, which deliver sustainable topquartile cost and performance levels.
Evaluate performance and provide coaching for ITpersonnel.Promote diversity and fosterteamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.Provide input on development and retentionprocesses for IT employees.
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (e. g. Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering).
- Typically 10 or more years of experience in leading and managing multiple solutions teams at the manager level or higher.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing IT infrastructure projects or programs .
- Demonstrated ability to present and discuss complex technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and approval.
- Demonstrated strategic planning and customer engagement skills and experience leading teams and people through change.
- Excellent consultative skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Advanced interpersonal skills, communications skills, and presentation skills.Works effectively with all levels of IT & business management and with vendors.
- Financial acumen and experience in managing project and operational budgets.
- Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in area of specialty.
-Graduate degree in Project Management, Informational Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration
-Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
-Experience in fiber optic, data networking or telecommunication projects
-Experience in the electric utility industry or telecom industry
-Agile project management experience and/or either of the following certifications:PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) ®
-Total Staff Managed:10 to 40 (direct, indirect, and project team)
-Budget Management for overall program (multiple projects) specific to area of accountability
-Manage technical/business complexity and risk in a business-critical program
-Lead engagement with the business and the broader IT organization in delivering overall program
-Participate in the overall leadership of Information Technology organization
-Typically reports to Director or Vice President.
