JOB INFORMATION

Fanniemae is in the process of implementing Workday Financials; General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Billing, Asset Management and Cash Management and Accounts reconciliations. The identified person will be working in a team environment supporting Workday Financials implementation and will be responsible for production support and Business operations.

We are seeking an individual who has at least 5 to 7 years of technical and functional experience in supporting Workday Financials. The candidate should be able to support daily operations and production support activities related to General Ledger and other modules. As part of the production support, this position will involve working with business customers and resolving any technical and functional issues.



KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Working closely with various customers and providing solutions for any issues
  • Testing and analyzing monthly and quarterly software updates by Workday ERP prior to being implemented into production environment
  • Monitoring the interfaces connected to Workday Financial system on a daily basis and identifying any production issues requiring follow up actions
  • Performing in a team environment and coordinating with other team members in day to day activities
  • Building reports using Workday functionality for business customers in the following modules: General Ledger, Revenue and Billing, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Cash Management
  • Performing system analysis and design business processes current and future state needs.
  • Being available to work in flexible hours and support monthly accounting close process in a team environment
  • Guiding other teammates as a senior team member
  • Coordination is required with technology partners and business users during ERP system upgrades
  • Experience in developing process and system controls related to business operations and dealing with SOX controls and execution of the controls.
  • Participate in meetings with different teams, project managers, and developers to automate, upgrade applications that accomplish business operations of assigned work unit(s).
  • Work with different interface partners and coordinate day to day tasks.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting issues.
  • Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications for operations and management staff of assigned business unit(s).
  • Provide guidance and technical supervision to less experienced staff performing similar functions.
  • SDLC / Agile project support experience will be helpful
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION Education Level Required Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Education Level Preferred Master or Other Advanced Degree Area of Study Preferred Accounting, Business, Computer Science or Finance MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 6-8 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • 3 to 5 years of Workday related experience and 2/3 years of ERP financials functional support with strong data analysis skills
  • Experience supporting People Soft systems and transitioned in to supporting Workday Financial suite support is preferred.
  • Prior Experience in ERP financial systems support is a plus 
  • Experience in Workday functional support; SME in General Ledger, AP, AM, Revenue and Billing modules.
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in using TOAD and should be able code advanced SQL queries in complex data base environments.
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Previous experience using JIRA / Confluence
  • Working knowledge of MS-Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, lookup formulas, recording macros, etc.)
  • Excellent Communication skills (i.e. clear, crisp, and detailed emails explaining requests)
  • Experience working in Agile/Lean work environment.
