**Job Description:**

This is a key position for one of GDIT client located in Washington DC.

**Responsibilities will include the following:**

+ Lead projects, IT application, and asset team at Government site.

+ Serve as the Sr. Application lead to client by providing leadership to the contractor team for delivery of services.

+ Facilitate the collection of regular status and metrics, and prepare status reports.

+ Manage service delivery to achieve defined SLAs.

+ Lead regular IT Application support meetings.

+ Monitor incident trends and anticipate potential problems for proactive resolution for enterprise applications.

+ Lead and contribute to escalated problem resolution, when necessary.

+ Implement and enforce devops procedures and policies, and trainings, to application team personnel.

+ Participate in the development of a Contingency/Business Continuity Plan to support back-up plans for business critical applications in the event of a disaster/emergency.

**Basic qualifications:**

+ Experience leading, managing, and overseeing 24x7 enterprise application support teams.

+ Demonstrated experience managing globally dispersed teams with responsibility for leading application devops team.

+ Experience in developing, coordinating and implementing IT policies, processes and procedures.

+ Experience managing, developing, monitoring and reporting on client Service Level Agreements.

+ Thorough knowledge of backend server environments, storage networks and networking infrastructures, which includes any network-based hardware and software system.

+ Thorough knowledge of leading team supporting Webshpehere, weblogic, Business objects, Oracle & SQL databases, Documentum, AWS cloud, based applications.

+ Knowledgeable in .net, java, and visual basic programming languages.

+ Hands on programming experience in one of the programming languages.

+ Experience with providing automation to manual tasks to increase efficiencies.

+ Experience and understanding of Security policies.

+ Must have experience working as a Senior IT analyst to include requirements analysis, system design, project management, enterprise strategy, personnel management, system integration, incident management, and technology evaluation.

+ Must have experience leading team of resources supporting infrastructure and custom applications in devops environment.

**Education, certification, other skills:**

+ Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems

+ Professional experience and certification to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation and Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus

+ Highly analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

+ Strong interpersonal and presentation (verbal/written) skills; Comfortable in presenting to executive audiences

+ Proficient in documentation tools such as MS-Office, Excel, Power Point, etc.

+ Strong personnel management skills

+ Strong project management skills
