The Director, Field Sales develops and maintains relationships with small and medium-sized accounts. The Director, Field Sales requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. The Veterans Field Sales Director will be responsible for executing the established Humana Veteran Sales strategy. The Director will also oversee products and product design of Veterans' products and identify emerging opportunities. The Director will manage a team of sales executives and be responsible for the creation of supporting roles generating new sales growth.
The Director, Field Sales focuses on personal sales targets and troubleshoots specific customer problems. Meets targets through cultivation of new client relationships and development of productive relationships with existing clients. Prepares sales presentations, contracts, and proposals subject to review by supervisor. May participate in special projects/programs as assigned, such as training or communication sessions within or outside of the company. Maximizes revenues from sales of the organization's products and/or services through a base of reseller partners in specific assigned channels and/or vertical markets. Locates, evaluates, and recruits potential channel partners, including systems integrators, value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, dealers, or retailers. Supports partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training to achieve revenue targets. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.
In addition to the above, the Veterans Field Sales Director will:
+ Create Veteran agent/agency training across multiple channels
+ Collaborate with Retail Service Organization to create and differentiate Veterans' members experience
+ Achieve Veterans' sales growth objectives
+ Manage a team of Humana Veteran Sales Executives
+ Manage and test pilot programs
+ Create KPIs with analytics team
+ Active involvement with Corporate Sponsorship Team to expand Veteran Service Organization relationships
+ Collaborate with Corporate Marketing in creating Veteran Specific sales collateral
+ Develop incentive programs that create behaviors supporting corporate growth initiatives
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ Strong leadership, ability to influence
+ Experience working with Veterans' members
+ Previous experience leading a team of sales executives
+ Examples of cross collaboration
+ Ability to travel ~50% domestically
+ Finance acumen
+ Proven strategy execution
+ Experience developing incentives and KPIs
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Active Health & Life Insurance Licenses in resident state
+ This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
