We are looking for a Cloud Financial Analyst to join our Managed Cost Operations team. In this role you will partner with the Director, Cloud Optimization and work with large clients to offer professional services around cost optimization.
What You’ll be Doing Generate and present financial analysis of public cloud computing spend for clients. Analyze spend trends, opportunities for savings, and advise client with specific recommendations for improvement. Where appropriate based on the client objectives, provide financial analysis of client’s on-premise spend, translating it to cloud spend in a formal business case. Analysis may include projections for cost of tools, maintenance, depreciation/amortization, the impairment of assets, and labor efficiencies. Support the sales team with business development activities as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Financial analysis. The ability to develop and present financial analysis of a client’s spend and make related recommendations for improvement. If not already proficient, the ability to develop a working understanding of the AWS cloud computing platform and its pricing dynamics. Existing knowledge and expertise in AWS a significant plus. AWS Cloud Practitioner certification a significant plus. Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal. Proficient Excel user. CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, or Cloudability experience not required, but a significant plus. If not already proficient, ability to learn basic relational database query languages such as SQL. Prior knowledge of Linux command line and basic knowledge of IT infrastructure (i.e. networking, compute, storage layers) a significant plus.
