job summary:

Randstad Technologies is looking for a web developer to support application development for an enterprise content management system. In this role you will assist in the design, development, debugging, and implementation of software code (such as HTML, CGI, .NET and Java Script) for Website Applications. You will test, build, compile application code, and coordinate the deployment with all stakeholders. Along with development you will participate in the maintenance and support of web applications and the underlying infrastructure. This position is located in SE DC.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementation, maintenance, security, and availability of Windows and Linux based web infrastructure systems.
  • Providing guidance and oversight of compliant software installations, upgrades and related deployment releases.
  • Troubleshoot system performance, issues, and security vulnerabilities related to previous code releases.
  • Develop code to improve the performance of legacy applications, as well as new systems requiring access to data via API calls.
  • Coordinate deployments and upgrades in accordance with IT policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Work to standardize modules of commonly used features and functions within government enterprise applications.
  • Support the lifecycle management of applications hosted by end of life software and services.
  • Participate in other application code peer reviews.
  • Provide oversite and management of Software/Code repositories such as GitHub.
  • Required Qualifications

  • BS Computer Science/related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years' demonstrated application development experience.
  • 3+ years' demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Pearl, Powershell, and/or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with web Content Delivery Networks and tools such as Drupal or Acquia
  • Experience supporting code reviews and troubleshooting code based on Java, .Net, and JavaScript
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Security+
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: App Builder
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in API Management
  • Previous experience with Government Consulting is highly preferred
  • Clearance: Must be able to attain a Public Trust Clearance
