The Director of Vendor Relationship Management is responsible for leading and managing the overall vendor relationship program in partnership with other Enterprise Technology Partners (ETP) leads. This role will work to develop vendor relationship strategies for SGWS ETP.This role is responsible for overseeing key ETP third party relationships at an enterprise level. Moreover, this role will partner with Corporate Procurement in order to assist in the selection, acquisition and monitoring of contractual agreements for hardware, software, and ETP services for the enterprise. He / She will work with the ETP Controller to ensure appropriate use of corporate funds. This role also requires working closely with the business and ETP to understand their needs and serving as the key ETP point of contact for all purchases, deliveries, and problems with products and services. This role maintains contact with vendors to manage the status and quality of orders and the progress toward contractual commitments. The responsibilities for this role are: Lead the vendor relationship management program,at an enterprise level in order to identify and assess the inherent risks and to review controls to determine residual risk to our company, Oversees service level agreements with vendors (working in partnership with other ETP leads), continually seek optimal value in service from vendors, review and monitor performance and return-on-investment metrics and initiate contract modifications as appropriate Establish standards and procedures for evaluating vendor products and services, pursuing new vendors, qualifying vendors, and maintaining an approved vendor database and tracking system Provide status updates on purchases and escalate vendor delivery and implementation issues as necessary to facilitate timely resolution Follow up with ETP leaders to ensure satisfaction with delivered products and services and to address any problems or concerns Create measures for the quality and timeliness of delivery of vendor products and services Develop deep, strategic relationships with vendor partners that can be leveraged when needed Create mutually beneficial relationship for SGWS ETP and its vendor partners Co-ordinate efforts with Corporate Procurement and Legal in order to develop standard agreements for use as a starting point for vendor negotiations Partner with ETP Compliance and Risk, Corporate Procurement and Corporate Legal to develop standard agreements for use as a starting point for vendor negotiations Identifies negotiation opportunities to enhance, develop, and implement a supplier oversight program for the ETP Department. Proactively work to reduce costs and improve productivity (continuous improvement) Assist ETP leaders and managers in managing vendors to the responsibilities outlined in their contracts and statements of work Lead and facilitate periodic supplier performance assessments, identify opportunities to increase value based on ETP needs and establish plans for supplier improvement Ensure that critical and strategic technology purchases are managed effectively and efficiently by balancing the overall cost, quality and risk associated with ETP spending and demand management Work with ETP Directors, Senior Managers and Managers on the key differences between managing the vendor contracts from an operational perspective (ETP line management responsibility) and managing them from a contractual perspective (ETP Supplier Management responsibility) Collaborate with Corporate Procurement in order to understand, total cost of ownership (TCO) concept, global sourcing strategy, contract negotiations, performance management, and service delivery model with key vendors Implement, enforce, improve, and communicate vendor management-specific policies, processes, procedures and controls Communicate effectively up and down the organizational hierarchy Provide training, mentoring, and support to ETP teams and stakeholders in vendor management best practices Stay current on latest vendor management best practices Mentor others to help them build capabilities Improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of vendor management team Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS Must have a basic understanding of all SGWS technology product and service needs Must maintain knowledge of changing technologies Deep subject matter knowledge and experience within ETP (SOWs for Pro Services, Consulting, Project Outsourcing, in addition to MSA, EULA - License Methodologies and Best Practices, SW and HW Maintenance Agreements) Proficiency in Software Pricing Models for negotiations (OnPrem, Saas, Cloud, Hybrid) Well-versed in key terminology and legal language / concepts used in vendor contracts, such as indemnification, intellectual property, force majeure, and amendments / exhibits / SOWs, and understands how they interrelate Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively for maximum performance Excellent understanding of ETP processes and principles Extensive knowledge and expertise in vendor management best practices Broad understanding of all ETP areas, including infrastructure, application development, auditing, and internal controls Strong experience in legal documentation and vendor agreements Strong leadership and negotiation skills Strong communication and decision-making skills Significant experience in planning and budgeting Strong ability to communicate and include across the organization and at all levels EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in business or technical discipline preferred Graduate Degree Preferred (MBA, MIS, or equivalent curriculum) Note: Sufficient and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements EXPERIENCE 10+ years of work experience in an IT environment 5+ years of work experience managing one or more technology departments; including contract negotiation, vendor performance management, preparation and evaluation of RFPs, relationship management, asset management and a strong understanding of project management methodologies Experience working with third-party technology vendors, including evaluating capabilities and services, negotiating agreements, and managing their activities and associated operating / service level agreements TRAVEL Domestic travel, up to 25% Job:Information Technology Primary Location:United States-Florida-Miramar Shift:Day Shift Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, color, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, veteran or disability status or any factor prohibited by law, and as such affirms in policy and practice to support and promote the concept of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, in accordance with all applicable federal, state and municipal laws.
