WSP is currently initiating a search for a Plumbing Engineer for our Washington, DC office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Performance of plumbing engineering and piping systems design and production support from project inception through construction
-Leverage analytical and design skills and ability to solve complex technical problems in professional discipline
-Utilize advanced analytical techniques and computer software tools and applications (ie REVIT) in solving technical/plumbing engineering problems
-Exhibit learned practices to produce high quality technical and professional deliverables on Federal Government/military projects and proposals
-Provides guidance and training to entry-level engineers

-A minimum of 5 years of experience performing design of plumbing and piping systems
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university
-Ability to obtain a US -Government-issued Secret clearance
-EIT or eligibility to obtain EIT certification within 6 months of hire
-Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
-Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
-Strong proficiency in and previous hands-on application of REVIT platform
-Design experience on federal and/or military projects
-Active US Government-issued Secret clearance
